And the major media decided President Trump was responsible for Hurricane Florence.
How things only seem to change.
    What a great lecture.
But she misses, I believe, an important point:
It was the scientists of the day leading the attack on the “witches”.
    Thanks for posting the video.

Hunter; no, as Dr. Baliunas stated in her lecture, it was superstitious “highly educated upper social strata” led by lawyer and philosopher Jeanne Bodin, who blamed the unusual weather on witchcraft, and was opposed by scientist Johann Bayer, a physician (and celestial cartographer) who argued that the sorcerers were suffering from medical conditions.
Dr. Baliunas didn’t “miss an important point” as you state, Dr. Baliunas describes a 17th century phenomena that directly parallels the current one in the 21st century, in which the powerful elite ignored science.
Your comment reflects the 21st century superstition that social status and power trumps science.
